Bukan mudah untuk setiap gambar kita dijual di Shutterstock.com. Walaupun kita sudah mempunyai akaun sebagai contributor sekali pun, kita tidak boleh sewenang-wenangnya menghantar semua koleksi gambar kita ke Shutterstock.com sesuka hati. Setiap gambar yang dihantar masih perlu melalui proses reviewer yang professional yang akan melihat kualiti dari setiap sudut daripada idea atau konsep sehingga ke teknikal fotografinya.
Minimumkan rejection!
Terus terang kawan kabo, masa awal2 start sebagai contributor, 10 keping hantor, 5 approved, 5 rejected. Ada sebab konsep / idea, ada sebab teknikal fotografi itu sendiri. Ini bermakna 50% daripada submitted image rejected. Ini tidak bagus. Maka kita kena cari puncanya. Apa masalahnya? Sebab tu kawan nok awok baca ni. Hok nims, wajib baca wajib tau. Belajor dari kesilapan diri sendiri adalah terbaek, tetapi kalau boleh sediakan payung sebelum hujan lebih2 terbaek dops. Setiap kali submission kalau boleh, elakkan rejection sampai 60%.
Kalau kene reject, jangan delete!
Tetapi, awok kena tahu jugop. Rejection tidak bermakna gambo awok burok, tak boleh pakai. Rejection kat Shutterstock.com tak semestinya kena reject dekat Dreamstime.com atau Fotolia.com atau agensi2 stock lain. Reviewer yang check gambo kita tak sama, maka evaluation mereka pun berbeza2. Sebab itu jangan pulok awok gi delete gambo yang kena reject kat Shutterstock tu. Hanto la kat agensi lain bila ada masa. Walau pun agensi lain slow, tapi tetap jalan weh…
Berikut adalah senarai rejection yang Shutterstock listkan dan memang biasa kawan terima sepanjang menjadi contributor Shutterstock.com & juga daripada agensi lain.
- Focus/Out of Focus–Your image is not in focus or focus is not located where we feel it works best.
- Blurry — Your subject not in focus / have blurry effect that not suitable on the image
- Noise — Noise, film grain, over-sharpening, or artifacts at full size.
- Pixelation — Images shows over sharp edges or pixels
- Over or under saturated colors — over or ridiculous enhancement on saturations.
- Poor Lighting–Poor or uneven lighting, or shadows. White balance may be incorrect.
- Over/Under exposure — Bad exposure control Exposure = Speed + Apperture
- Composition–Limited commercial value due to framing, cropping, and/or composition.
- This image is already in your portfolio.
- Problems with contrast — Contrast in the imaging is the difference between the lights and the darks. Sample!
- Trademark–Contains potential trademark or copyright infringement.
- Lighting Problems–Purple fringe, blown highlights or lenses flare.
- Limited Commercial Value — Any “SnapShot” images. We do not need this image at this time.
- Interpolation problem — Interpolation (sometimes called resampling) is an imaging method to increase (or decrease) the number of pixels in a digital image.
- Quality of routing — To be update later.
- Oversupplied — The image / material is already over supplied in the gallery. We do not accept this type of image / material anymore.
